What’s my face shape? A face shape detector that shows why

The detector compares your face length with forehead, cheekbone and jaw width and the jaw angle, then reports the closest of seven shapes plus the traits you share with its neighbor. Your photo stays in this tab.

What we measure

  1. 01Face lengthHairline to chin (estimated from the upper forehead point).
  2. 02Forehead widthAcross the temples, at the upper edge of the face outline.
  3. 03Cheekbone widthThe widest point across the cheekbones — our reference width.
  4. 04Jaw width & angleAcross the jaw corners, plus how sharply the jaw turns toward the chin.

Before measuring we level the eye line so a tilted head doesn’t skew the widths. There is no universal cutoff between shapes, so we rank all seven by how close your proportions are and show the runner-up instead of forcing one label.

Verify that nothing is uploaded

  1. Open your browser’s developer tools and switch to the Network tab.
  2. When a photo is chosen, the model files load from public CDNs — and no request carries your image.
  3. Or: once the model has loaded, the tool keeps working in airplane mode — a second photo is still analyzed.
05

How to use your result

Treat the shape as a starting point. Hair density, texture, hairline and how much styling time you have matter as much. Decide whether you want hair and frames to echo your lines or contrast with them, then compare a few options on yourself.

A note for men

The same measurements apply. Beards change the visible jawline, so detect your shape with a clean-shaven photo if you can, or treat jaw results as approximate. A beard is also a styling tool: fuller sides add width, a longer chin adds length.
